Cowslip seed packets
(Primula veris)Flowers produced during April and May.
Sowing - Sow at any time of year, but preferably in Autumn as the seed germinates better after exposure to Winter frosts. For best results, sow in Spring or early Autumn. To encourage good germination, sow the seed in trays or pots of moist compost and place outside. Transplant the young plants to the desired location. Alternatively, sow in a well raked seed bed ensuring that the soil is fine and crumbly. Scatter the seed, rake lightly and firm down well. Keep well watered and weeded.
Maintenance - Once established, these plants will require no maintenance. However, after their second year, clumps can be separated and transplanted.
