Wildflower seeds can be sown throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn. However, some wild flower seed sown in the late Autumn may not germinate until the following Spring.
For best results sow wildflower seeds directly on to a well-raked soil or into pots in a gritty peat free compost and place outside. Transplant or pot on when the flower seed seedlings are large enough to handle. For either sowing method, ensure the flower seeds are visible on the soil surface.
Keep the wildflower seeds well watered in dry weather.
Once wildflowers are established in the garden, the plants can be cut back after the flower seed has fallen.
